a valentine's day discussion with the best friends from 2007
a) “but what if my life doesnt turn out perfect?" "then if its not perfect, you’ll always have us. we’re the closest to perfect youll ever get."
b)”do you believe in soulmates and fate? there are six billion people, how do you figure out who’s the one?" "what if you’ve already found that person, but you just havent realized their your soulmate, and it takes you years to realize it? or if by the time you do realize it, its too late?" "what if by the time x realizes im his soulmate, im already married to Y?"
c)”idk about this bS about ‘i give you permission to love again" "— you’ll love me, and me alone"
d) “i hate valentines day. whats wrong with the world and wanting everyone to feel like shit while other bitches are off on cloud nine?" ”on valentines day, im going to pop everyone balloons and step on chocolate" ”valentines day is such a capitalist hoax. it only makes guys feel obligated to spend on superficial girls, undermining the boys who go beyond this materialistic concept and believe in an alternative— that love shouldnt only exist on february 14th."
e) “i hate life. lets just give up. let’s get on an overpass on the I-15 and jump"
So it’s all about choosing your attitude. There are times where you can’t change the situation you’re in. But, you can always always change you’re attitude about it. And that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to choose to be happy. Choose to be confident. Choose to be appreciative.
Because having the right attitude means the difference between a good day and a bad day.
